Unfiltered Utopias project is a study that examines screen-projection as a socio-cultural political phenomenon. The research is a cinematic experiment of the interaction between a viewer, a screen and an author. The experiment involves filters, censorship and projection awareness practices within the problematics of subjectivity. The story to be screened at the OPENHAUS is a meta-narrative based on the short films of the international festival “Unfiltered Cinema”. The festival was held for 9 years in Belarus. It was banned by the authorities in 2023. The meta-film is set in the line between confronted society spectacles, utopias. The drama unfolds between the world and the world picture, contemporary art and the utilisation machines of Eros energy.
