I’m Not Who You Think I’m Not #35: Dance To My Dream Pt. 3

Club night

Over the course of four nights, the 10th Berlin Biennale’s public program I’m Not Who You Think I’m Not and ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanistics present the Dance To My Dream sessions in ZK/U’s basement. Their starting point is artist Tony Cokes' interest in versions and remixing as expressed in his video works, which are on view in ZK/U’s basement during the day within the 10th Berlin Biennale.

Dance To My Dream is a collaboration between ZK/U Center for Art and Urbanistics and the 10th Berlin Biennale’s public program.

Mark Ernestus is house, techno, is dub, drum and bass music of every kind around the planet. Since the foundation of his record store Hardwax and the accompanying labels there is literally no single musician, DJ or other music aficionado out of the electronic music sphere that hasn’t been to the store or hasn’t heard a record that Mark was part of. Always dressed up in gray hoodies and avoiding the light of public appearance Mark Ernestus represents the authentic independent artist: Focused on his work. Nothing else. Full stop.

Since he is no big fan of headline DJing or traveling for other reasons then music itself the opportunities to see him playing records are rare! He will be accompanied by a wonderful surprise guest out of Berlin’s Throughmyspeakers collective.
