In Soviet times, the separate national republics had their own film industry. This evening, short films and extracts from North Ossetia will be shown.

Many nations have their own ways of hospitality, perhaps the traditional Ossetian feast is one of the most impressive ones: A story about the sacral reproduction of the community where the table is the altar and also the form of sacrifice.

The guest has a special status in the Ossetian culture. One of the central Ossetian celestials, Wastirdzhi, is the patron of travellers. For him, one of the most important toasts within the traditional Ossetian feast is given.

Entrance to the film is free as usual. Food from 7.30 p.m., films from 8.30 p.m.

A meal costs €10. Please reserve your plate until the evening before by sending an email to speisekino(at)zku-berlin.org.
