Tatsuya Kawahara studied architecture at the University of Kyoto, Japan. After graduating he was a project architect with Shigeru Ban Architects, Tokyo. Together with Ellen Kristina Krause he founded KAWAHARA KRAUSE ARCHITECTS, Hamburg in 2009.
For KAWAHARA KRAUSE ARCHITECTS architecture is revision of perception. In order to create new views on the space, the house and the city by revising the perception, we intend to reinterpret and rewrite the narrative that is inherent to the project.
Architecture needs to tell its own narrative which should be open for further interpretation.
