Beth Dynowski studied Sculpture at the Glasgow School of Art and is currently part of the Centre for Modern Thought, Aberdeen.  She works with a vast array of materials and media which are often constructed responsively over a period of time in a place.  Drawing from a breadth of subject matter, her work primarily focuses on the immediacy of material encounters. Her research at CMT considers everyday aesthetic experience and its political implications. Selected past exhibitions include New States Market Gallery, Glasgow,  Unmarked The Briggait, Glasgow, Drawn Together  Siena Art Institute, Siena, Least Event Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2012, Geoaesthetics in the Anthropocene Salisbury University, Salisbury & The Legacy of Holweck Platform Arts Centre, Easterhouse.

Beth also writes about and runs public projects which address current structures, provision and access to art education. She is Co-Founder and Co-Director of The Pipe Factory, a space for art in Glasgow, and in 2012 initiated and ran Temporary Art School,  a free experimental art school in the North East of Scotland which used the streets, galleries, pubs and shops to deliver events that focused on exploring art through politics, religion, philosophy and collective material experimentation. Most recently she worked as Lead Artist at The Fruitmarket Gallery to launch a new programme for the gallery to be utilised as a public resource for young peoples self-organised activity in Edinburgh. She is currently writing a report on developing user led public sector and private resources in the arts in the US for distribution  in 2014.
