After countless clubs and venues during the past decade(s) were taking the mighty Washing Machine to the ZK/U - Zentrum for Kunst and Urbanistik in Moabit. ZK/U Berlin provides exactly what we want for this years „dance into may“:

A wonderful crew, a terrace and a garden with a magnificent view and plenty of space to hang out in the sun and listen to dubby tunes from the soundsystem.

We going to start in the afternoon with a superb BBQ and massive Djs taking us on a sunblazed journey into sounds from all around.
Later that evening were going to move the experience downstairs to the basement. Djs will fire up some real heavyweight house rockets from old to new from wicked to singalong. There is goin to be heavy basslines, a vibe thing based on the magic question: Can you feel it? Dub me right!
At midnight were gonna go for another yearly tradition: Were gonna open some bubbly bottles because its a birthday and its gonna be a blast off into the night. More Djs, more bass, more beats and an anthem here and there. Later the liveact will appear on stage and we guarantee, its a real live act with real drum machines and samplers and echo and even more bass then before. This night is all about coming together and celebrating the rhythm that makes you want to move and that vibe which occurs out of nowhere, that magic moment when the music, the dancers and everybody on site create that organism we call „a party“.

// LIVE //

"Pulsinger & Irl" is the collaborative project between Austrian producer & techno pioneer Patrick Pulsinger and the Bavarian producer & sound engineer Sam Irl.Their live-set aims at capturing the essential vibe of live-performed techno and house music, working only with drum computers, a MPC sampler, analogue synthesizers and a series of dub-heavy effects recalling the atmosphere of Jamaican dub culture, early Detroit techno and contemporary electronics. So much for the promotion text In our own words: Patrick and Sam are the hottest shit in the live universe right now and what they create is that raw kind of energy that occurs when something is really happening live. Their approach to music fits the washing machine like handsewn suit from saville row.
True masters!

// DJs //

Talking about legends, Jonzon is a true haven for those who like to dance. He does something with the beats, that will make you move, no matter what your original intention was. We didn't know how he did it back then, and we have no idea how he does it now, lets just call it magic! If you never heard of him do yourself a favour and google futurhythm, vein melter or browse his discography and find out that he has been rocking the 1s and 2s at ufo, planet, tresor, and tekknozid when you were still trying to figure out how lego and barbie works. To our surprise he is always coming up with tunes we all missed out on. Call it space voodoo or just skills, he is a magician. Period.

Finn Johannsen is a superb dj, you all know that and all tahts left to say here is: apart from being a writer, booking genius and networkingwizard what you really need to experience is the love and care he has for the dancefloor. Everytime he brings a box of records it is going to be a different box then a week a month a year or a decade before and he'll adjust his style for that specific night. Vinyl is his currency and beats are his religion, behind closed doors we like to call him jack, but thats a secret and he doesn't know that, so don't ever tell him..

EIGER NORDWAND (Salon des Amateurs, Düsseldorf)

Eiger Nordwand is like a bear, he loves honey and he will get honey, no matter the consequences. Musically he always carries a bag of sought after pearls and diamonds, call it a honeypot. Nordwand is a tuff cookie but he is a friend that will stay with you even if you give him a slap once in a while. But never ever underestimate that he is still a predator and after a long sleep in the winter he will hunt you down and play with you, before he eats you. Alive!

EVA BE (Loyoto, Berlin)

Chances are high, that if you are gong out this spring to clubs all over europe you'll hear Eva's latest record. It is an uplifting beat with a piano and some strings and a female voice reminding you to „breathe“ and you will do that, because you need breath to keep the pace. At washing machine Eva is going to show her island skills: this means she is going to provide us with sunny beats and heavy bass thru the bbq and she'll party till the sun comes up again.

CLÉ (Loyoto, Berlin)

If house was a scientific discipline and a party was a laboratory our man Cléwould be the noble prized scientist conducting the experiments that matter. Yes, we know this sounds kinda sterile but he'll finds the nucleus of a party everytime he is on the decks. That is proven facts fo sure! Dig that!

TERRIBLE (from town, Berlin)

Terrible is the man with the different plan. He is all about energy and creating that vibe thats called party.
He might drop a tune that you almost forgot or come up with a b-side you didn't recognize back then or play you something thats brand new but sounds like it has been done decades ago. It's about the moment, the here and the now. One thing thats granted: its gonna sound and feel fresh.
