Sudan Narratives Building
Between War, Resistance, and Diaspora:Voices and Strategies on Sudan
08 & 10 MAY 2026
ZK/U BerlinSiemensstr. 27, 10551, Berlin, Germany
The war in Sudan is more than a humanitarian catastrophe — it reflects a profound political crisis shaped by militarization, authoritarian power struggles, and global interests. Public debates, both international and within the diaspora, often remain reductive, sidelining civilian, democratic, and feminist perspectives.
Sudan Narratives Building creates a space to center these voices. In the face of fragmentation and exhaustion, new forms of solidarity, self-organization, and political action are emerging across the diaspora. This weekend brings those efforts together.
Organized by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and Sudan Club, the event convenes actors from politics, civil society, and the Sudanese diaspora to share perspectives, explore strategies for action, and strengthen practices of solidarity.
Cultural contributions — including music and Sudanese cuisine — offer additional ways to connect with the diverse realities of Sudan.
