Since the first days of talkies electronic instruments played a special role in films both as noise generators as well as musical instruments. Electronic sounds and music were not only an expression of the new electrical age but have been connected with certain meanings and subjects, with uncanny atmospheres, alien worlds, mad birds or the subconscious mind. The commented evening will be a journey through the first 40 years of electroacoustics in films up to Altair IV and down to the cave in Freud’s dreams…
