∆ Film: ‘Divine Location’ (by Ulrike Franke & Michael Loeken)

The former steel plant Phoenix-Ost, which once employed 18,000 people, has given way to an artificial lake: the Phoenix Lake. “Divine Location” document the progress of the construction work, and let investors, builders, planners and local residents have their say. A complex picture of gentrification arises that shows unemployment in the neighboring streets of the Phoenix Lake.
