Participating Artists

Cile

Cile grew up with classical music and developed a deep fascination for electronic sounds over time. She loves to distort catchy melodies, experiment with synthesizers, and contrast dark basslines with her voice. In her live performances, Cile builds her songs piece by piece, reconstructs melodies, and seamlessly transitions between synthesizers and acoustic instruments. She uses her voice as an instrument and unleashes techno beats that adapt to the atmosphere. Electronic music allows her to be conductor, orchestra, and singer simultaneously, giving her performances a unique intensity and versatility.

Gazino Neukölln

Gazino Neukölln is a queer-feminist Berlin band consisting of women, trans, and non-binary individuals. All members have moved from Turkey to Berlin in recent decades. "Gazino" refers to a special place and form of entertainment that was the most popular nightlife format with a queer vibe in Turkey from the 1930s to the 1980s. Inspired by this, Gazino Neukölln aims to create a new glamorous, kitschy, diverse, and exciting atmosphere. By combining various musical genres from different geographic regions and stories, the hybrid nature of Gazino culture is maintained. The band covers both Turkish and international pop and Arabesque hits with interventions, freeing the lyrics from sexism, homophobia, and transphobia.
