Three acts according to Freud: from idol worship to liberation and chaos – we break free from expectations and become our own icons

ZK/U BerlinSiemensstr. 27, 10551, Berlin, Germany

The play is inspired by Freud’s theory of the psychological structures: the Id, the Ego, and the Superego. It is divided into three acts that unfold throughout the space. It begins with the need to identify with the icons of our time—a personal obsession. In the second act, the imaginary wall between idols and audience is broken down; external expectations lose their power to dictate our path, and we set off in a new direction. The piece ends in collapse, chaos, and redefinition. We become our own icons.

The Tirve Collective consists of Anastasia and Gina, two young artists working in the fields of dance, performance, and creation. They completed their studies in Athens in 2024 and continued their training in the Dart DSP 2024–2025 program for contemporary dance in Berlin. During this time, they are collaborating on various projects, including performances, video dance, and festival formats, between Athens and Berlin.

Their practice is characterized by an interest in experimenting with different art forms, cultures, and communities. In their work, they seek to connect with the audience and create spaces for shared reflection.
