AUDACITY is a collective performance by an activist theater and creative collective composed of migrant and marginalized voices. As part of the mowe Festival in Moabit and Wedding, we explore the question of who icons are, who defines them—and what happens when a group asserts itself as ICONS. In a choreographed choral sequence, we present our manifesto as our first public act and collective coming-out. The performance challenges the notion of the iconic individual and counters it with collective presence, visibility, and audacity. Loud, physical, and united in solidarity, we understand ICONS as a practice and an invitation to self-definition.

AUDACITY is an activist theater and creative collective currently in its formative stages (since November 2025). It brings together post-migrant and marginalized voices who view artistic practice as a form of resistance, research, and collective self-empowerment. The work is grounded in equality: dance, costume, stage design, text, and performance intertwine and emerge through a collaborative process. Artistic research is conceived as a collective, open exchange—physical, linguistic, and emotional. AUDACITY sees itself as a deliberate gap in the system for voices and perspectives that are often excluded. Rather than conformity, the focus is on claiming space, time, and visibility. The works are political, rooted in solidarity, and clearly positioned against exclusion.
