Walk and Workshop by Dunjiva Kollektiv

23 AUGUST 2025 / 14:00 – 18:00

ZK/U BerlinSiemensstr. 27, 10551, Berlin, Germany

Garden Times is a series of drawing and reading clubs held in various gardens, urban farms, and green spaces by the artist duo Dunjiva Kollektiv. The focus is on communicating biodiversity through artistic approaches and defining gardens as spaces, atmospheres, and ways of thinking. The artist’s concept is about establishing a platform of reciprocity in which they make visible, question, and break down relationships and narratives between humans and other living beings, especially plants.

On 23 August, Dunjiva Kollektiv will hold a participatory walk on the premises and in the vicinity of ZK/U, that explores the relational space between bodies and plants through reading and drawing. Here, drawing becomes an immediate poetic gesture that cultivates attention to plant life and dares to approach interrelational habitats. Garden Times is an investigation of the garden's potential to influence our perception and expand it toward plants and other more-than-human actors.

DUNJIVA KOLLEKTIV, consisting of artists Dunja Krcek and Ivana Miloš and based in Vienna, understands itself as a cooperative cultural initiative focusing on community-building events that engage in sustainable dialogue with specific locations. These include performative walks, workshops, readings, exhibitions, and happenings that explore the (bio)diversity of different (cultural) landscapes and aim to raise awareness of them through artistic approaches.
