PARKomplex
A group of park lovers of the Moabiter Stadtgarten got together to found a collective between art and activism!
May - August 2021
ZK/U BerlinSiemensstr. 27, 10551, Berlin, Germany
The starting point of our journey is the “injustice in public space” perceived by the founders of PARKomplex over a longer period of time. We are a hyperdynamic group as the diverse people you can encounter in the park. We, Dewen Kohshnaw, Adrian Omerovic, Nele Rathke, Las Shusha, Nadia Zimmer and Ki Hyun Park have a wide range of ages and interests. Our expertise ranges from philosophy to design to music, community art to anti-racism, feminism, and coping with everyday life in and around the Wessi-Moabiter Stadtgarten.
Despite our different positions in the park, we all want one thing: justice in the Wessi. That's why we came together to form a COMMUNITY, the PARKOMPLEX. Out of the park, beyond, out of the public space and into private life. We flourish in the summer. We are fluid, process-oriented and experimental, sometimes temporary and sometimes permanent. For whom? We are open to all who are open to us. We want to support each other in our artistic and activist practice.
