This film is part of the search of Momchil Alexiev for an impression, a moment, hidden between image and sound. It reflects the strive to recall and frame his own way of cognizing.
Silo City Berlin
As a contraposition to the standard perception of architecture and as a reaction to a dynamic life as garbage architect and international 3D troubleshooter, I developed a dynamic and mobile living structure from a grain silo and a selection of local waste materials. Various simple but logical technical systems enable the silo to be almost independent of civilization, e.g. the shower which works on 5 liter circulated water. In order to look from a different angle at the standard way of living, I started to live with my daughter in the experimental house, which we moved to Berlin at the end of July 2013. The 'silo city' project in Berlin questions the general dynamics in housing and public space, inviting contrasting groups of society to experience the other side of mobility and architecture, from doctors to lawyers, through workers and gardeners to politicians and musicians.

"Women are often criticised for talking too much, but I am interested in what women actually say. I've noticed they don't talk a lot about themselves. Have we ever listened to their stories?
I've been working on my project, "Can you hear me?" in Korea since summer 2013. This project involved collecting women’s stories in our own voices: our lives, stories, knowledge, and experiences. I wanted to listen to their stories as unique individuals.
I would like to develop this project in a couple of different countries. Berlin exemplifies cultural differences with Korea, and is therefore an excellent location to evaluate results."

Perhaps the principles of making and composing music, whether by ones self or as an ensemble, can highlight an ideal for everyday social life. The creation of harmony, the purposeful negotiated imbalance, the pushing and pulling of time and space - numerous components, instruments, sounds - all working together to create an overall sense of togetherness that moves forward in time.
In the basement of ZK/U, resident performance artist Dave Sleswick will present a 15 minute physical/dance work that explores individuality and music togetherness as a model for social cohesion.
Language learning practice: exercise 2, Word of the day
The weird overlap between language learning process and artistic practice is making a own definition of words that everyone uses.
Although it is almost impossible to get agreement on one concept of one word, we try to make a consensus on collective definition of words by making examples and opposite words.
Newly found words related to my research and daily life is introduced in transition area between private and public space.
By using this exercises, one will become tandem partner to each other as the exercise will function as instruction of conversation.

Conversation and short video
Rather than giving a speaker centered presentation, I would like to invite the audiences to participate to create the event.
The audiences can decide which works they would like to discuss by choosing from a variety of print outs displayed around the room, and offer their interpretations of the work. As a result, the conversation is more based on the audience’s curiosity and is open to chance and spontaneity.
In addition to this, a 3min-video, formerly part of the St. Saviour’s Emergency Private Shelter piece, will be shown in her studio. The work originally consisted of a short video and two installed pieces that used existing architectural features of a church space to create the illusion that the church’s crypt was an emergency shelter. The infomercial is promotional and parodic as it emphasizes the tremendous benefits and the aspirational qualities of living in a hole in the ground.
