a bicycle choir

How can a bicycle choir come into being?
Inspired by Margaret Cameron’s artistic practice of “performance as philosophy”, this question became the starting point of a collective process of exploration.
Through a practice of attentive listening, various approaches to becoming a choir on bicycles were developed. The phrase “Yes, let’s!” served as a guiding principle throughout the process.
The Bicycle Choir combines vocal improvisation with choreographed movement. Spoken texts, songs, and vocal clusters create dynamic soundscapes in motion. As a somatic sound sculpture, the choir embodies a sense of connection and freedom. At the same time, the project draws attention to the structural marginalization of cyclists in urban environments.
Distinct voices merge into a resonant whole.
If this is possible on a small scale—what becomes possible on a larger one?
Yes, let’s.
