“If under attack, how to react?: Precarious Situations/ Self-Exploitation” // UA#03 Solidarity³
BETWEEN ART, ACTIVISM AND ALTERNATIVE (CLUB) CULTURE
This is the key question for ZK/U Fact Finding Committee #03. The third issue of the ZK/U Fact Finding Committee investigates solidarity practices in the fields of arts, activism and alternative (club)culture.
In the third event the UA#03 will work on the topic of 'Precarious Situations/elf-Exploitation', and deal with the situation of artists and cultural workers. The conditions under which artists and creative professionals work are often precarious. In a logic determined by the inherent dynamics of the existing exploitation-administration-democracy, in which the apparatuses of capitalism want to use even the smallest free spaces to make more money, freelance and anti-capitalist artists* and creators of culture can hardly assert themselves.
In resistance to these dynamics we want to develop alternative action forms and strategies for organising a joint fight for workers rights. We invite you to several short workshops and discussion rounds together with other artists* and experts* with whom we would like to exchange our expertise and knowledge, and to formulate our political concerns together.
