In a joint study programme between the Institute for Art in Context and the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme, artists and linguists explore how the languages we speak or do not speak shape our identity, our ways of thinking, our social interactions, and not least, our memory culture. The talk includes the presentation of two works that were developed in the course of this programme.

Atena Alaie and Simo Kupiainen are artists, part of the Art in Context study programme at University for the Arts Berlin.
Jörg Heiser is Director of the Institute for Art in Context at University for the Arts.
Mandana Seyfeddinipur is Director of the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
