Echoes of Change
Exhibition Climate Action Artist Residencies
27–30 November 2025 / various times
ZK/U BerlinSiemensstr. 27, 10551, Berlin, Germany
Echoes of Change is an exhibition that amplifies the voices of eight artists from Germany and the V20 countries — Fiji, Samoa, and the Philippines. Bringing together works developed through the Climate Action Artist Residencies, the exhibition explores artistic perspectives on the global climate crisis. Over the course of their residencies in Germany, Fiji, Samoa, and the Philippines, artists collaborated with climate impact scientists from the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and Germany. Their shared dialogue has given rise to works that translate scientific insights into visual, sonic, and spatial experiences. The program was funded by the Federal Foreign Office.
At the heart of Echoes of Change lies the recognition that climate change is not a distant phenomenon but a lived reality — complex, intertwined, and urgent. Rising heat, droughts, floods, forest fires, sea level rise, and biodiversity loss are reshaping ecosystems and societies alike. For the countries of the Vulnerable 20 (V20), these impacts are existential, as communities face increasing risks from extreme weather and disappearing coastlines.
Through this exhibition, the Climate Action Artist Residencies reveal how art can create new spaces for dialogue and empathy. By transcending geographic and disciplinary boundaries, the participating artists transform data and scientific research into aesthetic forms that invite reflection and inspire action. Echoes of Change thus becomes both a site of encounter and a call to collective responsibility — a reminder that our responses to the climate crisis must be as interconnected as the challenges themselves.
