urban practice in context

ZK/U - Center for Art and Urbanistics has been located in the former freight depot in the Moabit Stadtgarten for 10 years - 10 years in which urban practice has been researched, tested and practised both here and beyond the region. 
On 17.11. between 1 and 4 p.m. we want to experience urban practices in a very haptic way: in an action course around the biotope ZK/U. In workshops, unusual encounter formats and (knowledge) exchange rounds, both existing formats and satellites will be presented and the future programme of the ZK/U will be shaped together.

And yet another highlight takes place on this day:

In 2019, the foundation stone was laid for the expansion of our building. Two years later, we turned our roof upside down, rebuilt it as a ship and started a journey to documenta fifteen. These days, we are finally getting a new roof above our heads. In the future, we will live and work here in an even more experimental, artistic and accessible way. We would like to invite you to our topping-out ceremony, which will take place at 4 pm on the forecourt of the ZK/U site.
