During the residency at ZK/U, the artist has been researching on the idea of urban nature present in the green spaces and public parks of Berlin. For the Openhaus, visual notes and thoughts of the ongoing research can be interpreted as an alternative herbarium and archive of these urban spaces. These notations are meant to problematize imperialist and romantic visions that portray nature as passive and subservient to human manipulation. And it hopes to disrupt the myths of nature as a bucolic backdrop and a guest in the human realm.
