OPEN PARK HAUS August

OPEN PARK HAUS is back on the last weekend of August!
As part of Ortstermin 2020, an art festival in Moabit, the OPEN PARK HAUS will exceptionally happen over 2 days. Incited by this year’s festival theme, “this far and no further”, we want to look back at the institution of ZK/U and its surrounding public park, the Stadtgarten Moabit, from its creation until now. What has been its role in shaping the neighborhood? How much of ZK/U’s discourse and aims have been realised and what limits has it been facing? How could we imagine collectively how these spaces could evolve in the future?
A hybrid of our traditional OPENHAUS event, the OPEN PARK HAUS is an occasion to reflect back through various eyes: from park users, local initiatives, current and past residents, to past collaborators and projects, inviting each to have a say in this collective and multiformat conversation.
On top of our current residents artists showing their work in the park and the basement, the OPEN PARK HAUS will feature live music, workshops, conversations with local initiatives and neighborhood experts, and of course food and drinks!
Participanting artists: Hyunju Oh, Leman Sevda Darıcıoğlu, Muhammad Salah, Gölgede Güneste, Ilyn Wong, Milena Bonilla, Jan van Esch, Louis Porter, Trystan Wiliams.
More information about the participants' projects can be found below and on their fellow profiles, to which you can find links on the right.
