Diese Woche Donnerstag zeigen wir folgenden Film:

Dazu servieren wir, wie gewohnt, ein auf den Film abgestimmtes Menü. Diese Woche: Eine Berliner Interpretation von Ramen (mit Fleisch oder vegetarisch), Softeis und frische Möhren.

Würde man für das Rezept einer richtig guten japanischen Nudelsuppe 1 Million Yen bezahlen? Von diesem “Ramen-Western” erhält man viele wertvolle Einblicke in das ABC dieses Kochhandwerks: Wie gelingen die Nudeln sanft, weich und trotzdem mit einer gewisse Härte? Kocht man die Brühe (Tonkotsu) mit oder ohne Schweinekopf? Darf man beim Essen schlürfen? Tampopo heißt Pusteblume und ist der Name einer ambitionierten Frau, die sich fünf Männer als Coach hinter ihre flatternden Noren-Vorhänge holt und so die dunkle Rustico-Garküche in ein strahlendes 80er-Jahre Boutique Bistro mit Raufasertapete verwandelt.

Der Eintritt zum Film ist wie immer kostenlos.

As always, a menu tailored to the film will be served. This week: A Berliner version of Ramen (with meat or vegetarian), soft serve ice cream and fresh carrots.

Would you pay one million Yen just to get your hands on the recipe of a really good Japanese noodle soup? Many valuable insights into the ABC of this culinary craft can be acquired from this ‘Ramen Western’: How to prepare noodles so that they are soft, yet not too soft? Does one cook the broth (Tonkotsu) with or without a pig’s head? Are you allowed to slurp your food? Tampopo means dandelion and is the name of an ambitious woman who fetches five men to coach her. Behind her fluttering noren curtains she stands – giggling – and allows the men to turn her dark, rustic food stall into a shiny eighty’s boutique bistro with woodchip wallpaper.

Entrance to the film is free as usual.
