Wir hoffen, dass es Ihnen trotz der schwierigen Umstände gut geht. Trotz der aktuellen Lage möchten wir daran erinnern,
dass der Bewerbungszeitraum für den OPEN CALL des ZK/U am 23.04.2020 endet.

Beginn: 5. März 2020

Das Residency-Programm des ZK/U – Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik ist noch immer offen für Bewerbungen von Künstler*innen, Wissenschaftler*innen und Praktiker*innen, die sich mit dem Phänomen "Stadt" beschäftigen und dabei die urbane Realität erkunden und hinterfragen. Bewerbungen für eine Residency am ZK/U Berlin sind möglich von zeitgenössischen künstlerischen Positionen, die konzeptuell, interventionistisch und kontextuell sind. Die Arbeit am ZK/U ist geprägt von theoretischen und praxisbezogenen Kritiken in den Bereichen Stadtforschung, Geographie, Anthropologie, Urbanistik, Architektur und Geisteswissenschaften. Im Zentrum stehen kollaborative Praktiken, der Austausch mit anderen Künstler*innen und das Lernen voneinander. Die Resident*innen werden ermutigt, sich am ZK/U Programm zu beteiligen und eigene Formate vorzuschlagen.

Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn Sie diese Informationen in Ihrem Medium veröffentlichen und/ oder mit Ihren Freund*innen und Kolleg*innen teilen könnten, die sich für eine Residenz am ZK/U interessieren könnten. Wir glauben, dass in Ihrem Netzwerk Menschen vorzufinden sind, die als Resident*innen zu unserer Forschung, unseren Interessen und Zielen beitragen können. The Open Call is for residencies that will take place between late 2020 till mid 2022. If you haven’t had the chance to do it, please don’t hesitate to spread the Open Call through your circles, or share our Facebook event.

In the context of its art and research residency program, ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanistics Berlin offers a ‘living & working’ space for artists, scholars, practitioners and professionals of various fields whose practice relates to the exploration and questioning of urban reality. ZK/U welcomes residency applications with proposals framed as contemporary artistic positions that are conceptual, interventionist and contextual, and as research and activism in the fields of urbanism, geography, anthropology, architecture and the humanities. With collaborative practices and peer-to-peer learning at its core, the residency is about exchanging with and learning from other artists and practitioners. Residents are encouraged to involve themselves with ZK/U’s programme and to propose their own formats.
