She is a writer and video artist. The quotidian is her raw material, its muted possibilities her driving force. By weaving choreography and intimate narratives into fact-based stories, her work dramatizes the gestures of memory. She aims to offer a physical perspective on politics. Portraying bodies entangled in history and conflict, she seeks to preserve and articulate the confounding and agitating effect these histories have upon us. She received her Diplom (honors) in Fine Arts from HBK Braunschweig in 2015 and is currently pursuing her MFA in Studio Arts / Film Production at Concordia University in Montréal. Screenings and exhibitions include: 26th Images Festival Toronto, Ignition at Leonard & Bina Art Gallery Montréal and Goethe Institute travelling exhibition Your Skin Makes Me Cry, among others. She is co-founder and member of the artist collective Catering Service.
