Teodora Kotseva

(Bulgaria)

Teodora Kotseva (b. Sofia, Bulgaria/ NL) is Rotterdam-based art manager and curator. Her study background comprises of BA in Economics and Management from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy and MA in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. In 2009 Teodora founded Kolektif, a platform for contemporary art and design, with the goal to promote and assist emerging talent. Combining her passion for the arts with an entrepreneurial spirit, she is currently working at art fairs, galleries, independent initiatives and site-specific projects. Occasionally she contributes as writer for publications and online media.

In the past couple of years she has curated several exhibitions, among others Boys Don't Cry, Fragile, Face-off, East of Best, initiated and participated in various projects such as Raw Expo, Kolektif at MiArt, Object/Art Rotterdam, Raw Art Fair etc. Recently she has curated and edited a publication about modern day utopias in art, architecture, philosophy, and music entitled The Entity of Zoon. Her curriculum also includes working period in the film industry (IFFR-International Film Festival Rotterdam, The Bureau film productions London, UK), marketing and sale of artwork at various art fairs -Scope Basel and Art Amsterdam with Judy Straten Gallery, Frieze NY (Plan B Gallery), as well as collaborations with independent initiatives (Roodkapje Rotterdam, Damage Playground, The Naked).
