Sara Faridamin

Sara Faridamin is a Vancouver-based visual artist and designer from Iran. She holds an MA in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths, University of London. In 2016 she received a fellowship from Faculty of Fine Arts, Concordia University where in 2018 she obtained an MFA in Studio Arts. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Canada, UK and Iran. Her visual art practice is focused on social geography, psychogeography, memory of the place and the everyday life of cities, often with an autobiographical side. She is interested in using photography as a medium for understanding and researching the urban landscape as a container of not only the built environment, but also as a container of social space created by human activities. In recent years, she has been experimenting with book art as a way of narrating her photography projects.
