Parnian Ferdossi (b. 1986 Iran) is a visual artist living and working between London and Tehran. So far, her photographic practice has concerned issues of urban politics and culture, and national and transnational mobility. Core to her practice is an interest in the ways photography visualises intangible power structures in space. Parnian’s current academic research examines photography as the index and agent of publicness, with a focus on ordinary photography in Iran.
