Heather Pringle studied Fine Arts International at University of Leeds, and Sculpture at Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem, Hungarian School of Fine Arts, Budapest. She has since worked in social space and community interaction, responding to location and differing public/private environments. Most recently she has worked with NGO East African Playgrounds, building stimulating playscapes in Ugandan communities and designing a creative education programme to be used by schools and social groups alike. She led workshops, lessons and community gatherings, encouraging Skills Exchanges and developing a means of creative communication and imaginative thinking between people of differing ages and backgrounds.
Her interest in social arts and community mobilisation has informed her practice, as many works are participatory and invite interaction and involvement.
