Dahhyun Im is an artist based in Berlin, London and Seoul. She creates installation work exploring the idea of assemblage. For her, scattered sculptures in the installation are legitimate to be slippery from the systematic harmony in capitalist logic. Researching the indistinct structure from the real and the virtual to the internal and the external in the post-consumer society, she arranges the distribution of spatiality and captures the irony of the reality. Also, her practice sometimes utilizes the ambivalent and antinomic characteristics embracing compatibility beyond the limitation of the boundary and reflecting the disorienting visual and psychological experience of urban environments.
