Claudia Arozqueta

Claudia Arozqueta is an interdisciplinary historian, curator, and writer. She is the author of Heartbeat Art, published by MIT Press in 2025. Her writing and research have appeared in publications such as Leonardo, Artforum, e-flux Criticism, and others. Arozqueta holds a PhD in Art History and Theory from the University of New South Wales, Australia. From 2011-2013, she was Director of Enjoy Public Art Gallery in Wellington, New Zealand. As an independent curator, she has organized various exhibitions for international organizations and festivals, including Blue Star Museum, San Antonio; Artspace, Auckland; TCB artinc, Melbourne; etc. Arozqueta has been a writer and curator-in-residence at Fogo Island Arts, Newfoundland (2025); Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, Montréal (2023); Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris (2019); among others.
