Alexandre Baldrei was born in Paris. After studying philosophy at Paris, he simultaneously attended the art history seminar of Didier Semin, and that of phenomenology ("Painting and Cinema") by Alain Bonfand at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Paris (2000-2002). In 2006, he participated in the Masterclass of Japanese sculptor Yuji Takeoka at HFK in Bremen. After his graduation from HEAR (Haute Ecole de arts du Rhin) in 2007 in the class of sculptor Vladimir Skoda and that of video performer Manfred Sternjakob, he participated in artistic residency programs abroad, notably at HIAP in Helsinki and at the Busan High School of Arts in South Korea. From 2009 to 2015, he was an assistant for the workshop of Vladimir Skoda and Jean-Marc Bustamante. He currently teaches aesthetics at ESAD in Orléans and art history at EMBAC in Châteauroux. Alexandre currently represented by the Le Salon H gallery in Paris.
