Von Mai-August 2019 wird das Kollektiv Stadtfrauenküche (SFK) im ZK/U Berlin  das Thema „Feministik & urbane Essensherstellung“ erforschen.

Am Sonntag, den 5. Mai, wird während des Gütermarkts in einer öffentlichen Pflanzaktion mit dem Moabiter Ratschlag und in Kooperation mit den Moabees die Dachterrasse des Untersuchungsausschusses auf dem Bienencontainer eröffnet.

Fact-Finding Committee #04: Feministics & Urban Food Production

From May until August 2019 the Stadtfrauenküche (SFK) collective will inquire into the thematics of ‘Feministics & Urban Food Production’ at ZK/U Berlin.

On Sunday the 5th of May during Gütermarkt, the Fact-Finding Committee’s rooftop terrace will open on top of the bee container, in the frame of a public planting campaign in cooperation with the Moabiter Ratschlag association and the Moabees.

Saisoneröffnung 2019!

Am 9. Mai starten wir mit dem Film „Zwischenlandung in Moskau“ von 1963 in unsere diesjährige Speisekinosaison. Der Film ist eine lyrische Schwarz-Weiß-Komödie von Georgiy Daneliya, die in ihrer futuristischen, harmonisierten Gesellschaftsdarstellung von der Realität der Zeit eingeholt wurde. Wir zeigen "Zwischenlandung in Moskau" kurz vor dem “Tag der Städtebauförderung” (11. Mai), da der Film eine Schnittstelle darstellt zwischen der Reflexion über das Erbe der post-sozialistischen Wohnsiedlungen, dem aktuellen ZK/U-Projekt “Open-Form neu denken” und der bevorstehenden Renovierung des ZK/U-Gebäudes.

Ab 19.00 Uhr sind die Türen geöffnet, das Essen wird ab 19.30 Uhr serviert und die Filme beginnen um 20.30 Uhr. Anmeldungen sind ab sofort möglich via: [email protected].

Season Opening 2019!

On May 9th we start the season with ‘Walking the Streets of Moscow’ from 1963 - a lyrical black-and-white comedy directed by Georgiy Daneliya, which portrays a futuristic, harmonized society that by now has been caught up by the reality of time. 

Shown shortly before the "Tag der Städtebauförderung" (Day of Urban Development", 11th of May), this film links the reflection on the heritage of post-Socialist housing estates to ZK/U’s current project ‘Rethink Open-Form’ and the upcoming renovation of the ZK/U building.

Our doors open at 7 pm, food will be served from 7.30 onward and the movies start at 8.30. Reserve a meal by sending an email to [email protected].

Im Rahmen des Tages der Städtebauförderung am 11. Mai 2019, lädt der Nachbarschaftsrat KMA II e.V. von 12 bis 18 Uhr zum 2. Nachbarschaftsfest der Karl-Marx-Allee, 2. Bauabschnitt, entlang der Schillingstraße ein. Das ZK/U-Team ist mit Stand Nr. 32 dabei und präsentiert die ersten Ergebnisse des Projekts “Open-Form neu denken”: Gemeinsam mit Studenten der HU Berlin, Institut für Europäische Ethnologie, werden Karten- und Brettspiele gespielt und Geschichten der Bewohner*innen über das KMA-Gebiet gesammelt.

On the 11th May 2019 Nachbarschaftsrat KMA II e.V. invites you to the second Neighbourhood festival of the Karl-Marx-Allee. As part of the Tag der Städtebauförderung (Day for Urban Development) it takes place from 12–6 p.m. along the second construction phase on Schillingstraße. The ZK/U-team is on site with stand #32 and presents the first results of the project “Rethink Open-Form”. Together with HU Berlin students (Institute of European Ethnology) we play card and board games and collect residents’ stories about the KMA district.

Von Mai bis Dezember 2019 untersucht das Projekt STATISTA im leerstehenden Haus der Statistik nahe dem Alexanderplatz, wie gemeinwohlorientierte Zusammenarbeit im Bereich der Stadtentwicklung gelingen kann. In zehn Aktionsfeldern will STATISTA künstlerische Prototypen für eine auf Gemeingütern basierende Stadtgesellschaft bauen: von einer auf dem Wohlergehen von Bienen basierenden Kryptowährung über naturnahe Fassadengestaltung bis hin zu nachbarschaftlichen Kooperationen und einer internationalen Konferenz im Herbst. Zwischennutzung führt hier nicht zu Gentrifizierung, sondern zu Verstetigung und Aufwertung im Interesse aller – im Sinne einer Staatskunst der Zukunft.

Die Hauptakteure und Aktionsfelder werden auf der Pressekonferenz am 20. Mai 2019 um 11 Uhr vorgestellt.

Press conference: STATISTA. Statecraft, Pioneer Usage, Representation

From May to December 2019, within the vast empty spaces of the Haus der Statistik on Alexanderplatz, STATISTA will be testing whether working in the spirit of the Commons is an option even within today’s context of city development. With the aid of ten distinct playing fields, STATISTA will generate artistic prototypes for a civil society built on collective principles. Including neighbourhood initiatives, a cryptocurrency reflecting the wellbeing of bees, a facade design built for ecological inclusivity, and an international conference in the Fall. Temporary usage, in this case, does not lead to gentrification, but to a form of urban renewal that is to the benefit of all. A Statecraft of the future.

The protagonists and their respective projects will be introduced at a press conference on may 20, 2019, 11 AM.

Im Mai findet das OPENHAUS PLUS statt, eine erweiterte Version unseres regulären öffentlichen OPENHAUS Formats. Eine schöne Gelegenheit für die Besucher*innen, die aktuellen Projekte kennenzulernen und die Prozesse der Künstler*innen der ZK/U Residency zu erforschen.

Neben den Arbeiten der Künstler*innen der ZK/U-Residency präsentiert auch der ZK/U-Untersuchungsausschuss #03 (UA #03) seine Ergebnisse in einem Abschlussbericht, den zwei künstlerische Positionen aus Berlin im OPENHAUS PLUS ergänzen. 
Der Untersuchungsausschuss wird von der Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa gefördert.

The next OPENHAUS PLUS, an extended version of our regular public OPENHAUS format, takes place in May, offering audiences the opportunity to get to know current projects and explore the processes of ZK/U’s residents.

In addition to the works of the  ZK/U-Artists in Residence, the Fact Finding Committee #03 (UA #03) also presents its results in a final report, which is supplemented by two artistic positions from Berlin in the OPENHAUS PLUS.
The Fact-Finding Committee is funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe.

In remembrance of our city’s declining free spaces, Fact-Finding Committee #03 invites you to a collective condolence ceremony. The funeral procession starts at Hansaplatz at 5 p.m., followed by a burial and a wake at ZK/U Berlin at 7 p.m.
