So Young H. Kim writes from her grandmother's life, connecting it to the generation of women the statue represents. Her lecture performance Things That My Mum Didn't Teach Me, presented in front of Ari, turns toward the foods that allowed life to continue after trauma—fermentation, preparation, serving—as an informal archive of women's labor, mourning, and survival that history has largely left unrecorded.
