Tamara Djerkov

(Macedonia)

Tamara Djerkov is an architect and urban planner from Skopje, North Macedonia, currently pursuing a master's degree in architecture at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
Since 2021, Tamara has been actively involved with the Scene Laboratory for Spatial Research under the Faculty for Things That Can't Be Learned (FRU), where she engages in education, research, design, and creative production. The FRU team develops and executes performance projects that blend architecture with theater, tailored to specific buildings. These projects employ a structured methodology, incorporating architectural and urban analysis to identify and address challenges faced by buildings or communities through spatial and performative interventions.

Throughout her academic journey, Tamara has participated in numerous workshops and summer schools focused on urban design and architecture. She was part of the Enable project under Erasmus+, concentrating on urban development in Prilep, and the City Upgrade workshop in Quito, Ecuador. Tamara has showcased her work in prominent exhibitions, including the 18th Venice Biennale of Architecture and the 15th Prague Quadriennale of Stage Design. She is also a member of the international architectural firm KONNTRA, which has won numerous awards, including first place for the Research Medical Center in Split, Croatia.
