Maintenance is not a Metaphor.

Maintenance is not a Metaphor. is multidisciplinary group working across architecture, urban practice and art. The group is formed by five individuals who identify as FLINTA* and with the experience of working at the intersection of artistic and urban projects, like Floating University, the self-organized THF Radio or implemented projects at Tempelhof Airport. As depicted in the image, being constantly engaged in the maintenance work behind art and cultural projects - the group decided to make this topic their own. With Maintenance is not a Metaphor. they start an artistic research that has emerged from informal conversations and shared experiences about working conditions and is meant to promote a common togetherness in public space, to initiate collective artistic processes and to make care work and maintenance more visible by claiming maintenance an artistic.

*Please note that "FLINTA*" is an acronym used in German to represent individuals who identify as women, trans, intersex, non-binary, and agender.
