Liat Elkayam

Liat Elkayam (1975) born and lives in Tel-aviv. She has been a journalist for 20 years, she was a critic and the vice editor of Haaretz's "Books" literary supplement, She wrote a weekly Culture critic/television column "Black Box", in “Haaretz”, “Galleria" magazine, and for the last 3 years writes the weekly column “Departures/Arrivals, in “Haaretz” Magazine Shorts stories she wrote appeared in various short stories collections published by "Masmarim", "Booxsilla" and "Afik" and  "S.Fischer" in Germany. She teaches Literary criticism and Creative writing at “Sapir” college. Elkayam received the berlinale talent campus scholarship, and the 2015 akademie der kunste "young acadamy" literary fellowship. She is currently working on her first book, to be published this year by Kinneret Zmora Bitan.
