Lil Misho is the electronic music identity of ishKode aka Christopher Yepez, an Anishinaabe artist from Walpole Island First Nation and Xicano producer whose work bridges Detroit’s electronic music lineage with Indigenous futurist sound. Moving through techno, house, ghettotech and experimental club music, he builds rhythm through drum machines, synthesizers, live beatmaking and land-based sampling.
Raised in Southwest Detroit and rooted in Bkejwanong Territory, Lil Misho weaves pow wow drums, jingle dress cones, rattles and field recordings of water, wind and fire into driving percussion and synthesized textures. The result is music designed to move both body and spirit across cultures, Nations and dancefloors.
Before developing Lil Misho, he performed internationally as hip hop artist and multimedia storyteller Sacramento Knoxx. That foundation in sampling, lyricism, visual media and community organizing continues to shape his electronic practice.
Lil Misho brings ancestral rhythm into conversation with contemporary club culture, honouring Detroit’s origins while creating new space for Anishinaabe identity within electronic music. His performances transform the dancefloor into a collective experience grounded in movement, connection and future imagining.
