Erica Brisson’s artistic work uses drawing and conversation as key conduits for exploring public space, communication, and intimacy. Erica studied fine art at Concordia University in Montreal (BFA, 2007) as well as attended the Banff Centre for the Arts Curatorial and Educational Outreach Work Study program (2008). Erica produces projects in collaboration with both arts and community organizations. Her past projects have included teaching passersby to build their own furniture out of cardboard in a public park, (Dare Dare Off-Bienniale, Montreal, 2008), designing a mobile billboard in collaboration with inpatients from the geriatric ward of a centre for addiction and mental health, (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health/Arts Etobicoke, Toronto, 2010), and creating a social space for turning memories of meaningful Toronto locations into postcards, (Koffler Off-site, Toronto, 2012)
