Andressa Cantergiani

Andressa Cantergiani is a Brazilian transmedia artist, performer, researcher, and educator based between Berlin and Porto Alegre. Her practice spans performance, video, installation, and material and technological experimentation, investigating the body as a site of ecological, political, and technological transformation.
Her work engages ecofeminism, speculative imaginaries, and posthuman thought through participatory and collective processes that blur the boundaries between artist, audience, and environment. She develops projects as living systems, combining performance, fabrication, and social interaction to create spaces of resistance, care, and shared knowledge.
She holds a PhD in Visual Poetics and has presented work internationally at institutions such as MARGS – Museu de Arte do Rio Grande do Sul, MACRS – Museu de Arte Contemporânea do RS, Brücke Museum (Berlin), NGBK – Neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst (Berlin), Uferstudios (Berlin), and venues in Vienna. She was awarded the Weltoffenes Berlin Fellowship and supported by the NPN – Nationales Performance Netz. She was nominated for the PIPA Prize (2023, 2025) and received the Açorianos Award for Artist of the Year (2025).
