Alice Haddad

Alice Haddad (BE/LU, based in Brussels) is a Ph.D. candidate and member of the research group Architecture Culture and the Contemporary (ACC) at Ghent University’s Department of Architecture and Urban Planning. Her research focuses on architecture and urban planning exhibitions as vehicles for interdisciplinary practices, spatial discourse, and territorial imaginaries. Her interests pick up on topics she has been working on in various institutional and self-initiated settings before starting her Ph.D. Among these the exhibition and book The Other Architect (Canadian Centre for Architecture, CA; Spector Books, 2015), the curatorial project Perhaps it is high time for a xeno-architecture to match (Kaaitheater, BE; Het Nieuwe Instituut, NL, 2016-2018; Sternberg Press, 2018) and the exhibition Rising Waters (Architecture Workroom Brussels; Brussels Urban Landscape Biennale, Bozar, BE, 2018). Her artistic work was shown at the Triénnale Jeune Création (Rotondes/Cercle Cité, LU, 2017), Public Pool #3 (FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais, FR, 2017), and Galerie Beim Engel (LU, 2018).
