Ahmad Mahmoud is a Sudanese documentary filmmaker and multimedia storyteller whose work examines social change, community resilience, and the lived realities shaped by conflict. Beyond filmmaking, he has been deeply engaged in civil society and youth activism, training young Sudanese in citizen journalism and contributing to grassroots media efforts before and during the 2019 Sudanese Revolution. His collaborations with humanitarian and development organizations have helped highlight underreported stories across Sudan and the Horn of Africa. Displaced by the current war, he continues his work from Berlin, using film and media to create spaces for dialogue, visibility, and understanding within Sudanese and diaspora communities.
