The Martin Roth-Initiative is a joint programme of the Goethe-Institut and the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) supporting artists and cultural actors at risk. In cooperation with cultural and civil-society organisations, it enables temporary relocations to safer environments where fellows can continue their work and develop new professional perspectives. Responding to the global restriction of civic and cultural spaces, the initiative advocates artistic freedom, solidarity and the protection of critical voices.
