Soft Infrastructures of Resistance - Mickey Phoenix Gaultier

Mickey Phoenix Gaultier

During his residency at ZK/U, Stepan will initiate Soft Infrastructures of Resistance, a speculative intervention exploring the architecture of dissent and the invisible networks of counter-power within late capitalist society. The project will take the form of tactical workshops, anonymous rituals, and temporary autonomous zones activated across Berlin’s post-industrial landscape. Stepan aims to examine how bodies, affect, and collective disobedience
function as tools to reclaim agency in urban environments dominated by commodification and control. Drawing from guerrilla pedagogy, performance theory, and underground organizing methods, the project will blur the line between art, action, and insurrection — opening up space for communal catharsis and rethinking masculinity beyond domination and despair.
