Turki and Abdulrahman Gazzaz - Bricklab

Turki Gazzaz, is born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1988. Graduated as an architect from McGill University with a Master’s degree in the history and theory of architecture in 2011. He has worked with international firms like Studio Daniel Libeskind in New York as a design architect, and Moshe Safdie in Boston and Arup as a collaborator.

Abdulrahman was born and raised in Jeddah with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Planning from the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. He has been experimenting and researching materials as an extension of his profession.

Together in 2015 they founded Bricklab - Saudi Arabia, a multidisciplinary architectural studio based in Jeddah. Their diverse backgrounds have led them to deepen their knowledge in architectural engineering, planning and history. This drives them to focus on evolving the research aspect of each project and offer contributions with new dimensions for specific social, economic and political contexts. Their work, ranging from sculpture to architectural interventions to furniture, has been exhibited in international platforms like Venice Architecture Biennale, Salone del Mobile, Art Dubai, MAAT Lisbon, and Shubbak Festival.
