Fathia Mohidin (b. 1985, Stockholm, Sweden) makes installations, video and sculpture. She often takes sport and fitness as a point of departure, to examine the body in relation to performance, social structures and societal ideas of difference. This research can be seen in various works such as the video installation “New Geometries”, which reflects on physical empowerment and norms around femininity and whiteness. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Fine Arts at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and she has participated at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture.
