“a song for many movements, or the return of the repressed” explored sleep/dream and the unconscious, or not-yet-conscious as devices of worldshattering and worldbuilding from within states of ongoing catastrophe, dispossession and colonial expropriation; drawing on the possibilities opened up by science fiction as a tool of witnessing/activating political potential outside the unfolding of chronological time.
The artist developed “a song for many movements” ‘in relation’ with her work on Asphalt, an experiment in study as speculative practice and an ongoing project by the artist hosted at the ZK/U.
