Remco Torenbosch ( Netherlands )

Remco Torenbosch works with the structural conditions that underwrite financial, political and social realities. By methods of recontextualization, collaboration and repositioning, Torenbosch aims to create a new discourse of historic and durational knowledge production. His most recent projects examine global infrastructure as a medium of polity; landmark court rulings; the formation of corporate conglomerations; and the power of private companies that manage essential resources, that question the notion of ownership and accessibility.

During his six months residency period at ZK/U, Torenbosch will work collaboratively on his contribution for the Art Encounters Biennial 2021, Timișoara Romania, among other projects.
