Fathia Mohidin
During her residency at ZK/U, Fathia Mohidin worked on a sound piece related to the field of sport and fitness, in collaboration with João Polido. The artist did research around the strong body in a capitalist society and its relation to the aesthetics, politics and labour of gym. In specific, she examined the structure and architecture of gym, the training movements borrowed from repetitive physical labour and gym equipment.
This sound piece will be part of an installation, which will be presented at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
