Faraz Anoushahpour ( Iran ), Parastoo Anoushahpour ( Iran ), Ryan Ferko ( Canada )

Over a two-month residency at ZK/U, Faraz Anoushahpour, Parastoo Anoushahpour, and Ryan Ferko are producing a collaborative film set in Berlin. Every four days a conversation between the group is recorded and transcribed, bringing together locations, places, people, themes, and topics from each artist’s research. This ongoing dialogue gradually builds up a script for a film that negotiates three individual experiences of seeing a city, collapsing the steps of researching, filming, and editing into one simultaneous process. Incorporating elements of city symphony, essay, and narrative cinema, their work explores the potential of collaboration in order to narrate urban landscapes through film.
